Palácio da Bolsa Tickets (2026)

The lead-in names the source; the table is what you pay. Two things the page does not print and we therefore cannot: the age at which 'senior' begins, and whether a student card from outside Portugal is accepted — take an ISIC or a university card and expect the desk to decide. The under-12 rule is explicit that it applies to children accompanied by adults and 'not for children's groups', which is the palace's way of saying that school parties pay the €9.50 rate per pupil.

Nothing on the page ties a discount to the Porto.CARD; the Clérigos tower prints 50% off for card holders, the palace prints nothing.

Every other monument in Porto that sells online sells a time: Livraria Lello a slot, the Clérigos an optional booking, the Douro trains a seat. The Palácio da Bolsa does not. Its tourism page describes one product — the compulsory guided tour, about half an hour, in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English 'assigned based on visitor arrival sequence' — and its online link goes to the regional tourism board's booking site, which sells that same product as a voucher. Holding the voucher does not reserve a departure. You still present it at the desk in the Nations Courtyard and join the next tour in your language, behind whoever arrived before you.

So what does online buy? Certainty that the price is paid, which matters if you are travelling on a budget you have already converted; a ticket in the family's phone rather than a receipt in a pocket; and, on the tourism board's site, a cancellation policy of its own — the palace page prints none. What it does not buy is time. If your day is tight, the instrument that saves minutes is the clock, not the channel: the first departures after 09:00 form from a short line and leave in the language of the first arrivals, and after about 17:00 the coach parties have gone. The Torre dos Clérigos ticket office sells a combined ticket for the Clérigos tower and museum, the Palácio da Bolsa guided tour and the MMIPO, the Misericórdia do Porto museum on Rua das Flores, at $29.06 (€25). The tower is €10 and the palace €14 at their doors, €24 together, so the bundle costs €1 more than those two and puts the Misericórdia museum — whose own fare we have not read — inside that euro. It is sold at the Clérigos office — the tower is the seller — and the Bolsa part of it is the same guided tour with the same arrival-order rule, not a separate entrance.

Worth it when: you were going up the tower anyway, which most first visits are, and you will walk down Rua das Flores past the Misericórdia on the way to the palace, which is the natural route. Not worth it when: you only want the Arab Room, or your knees have voted against the tower's stairs — the palace prints no step count for its own staircase but has a lift; the tower has neither. The Clérigos also sells a tower-plus-Serralves combo at $31.60 (€27.20), which does not include the palace; the Serralves page covers that one.

GetYourGuide has no stand-alone Palácio da Bolsa ticket in Q3 2026; searching the platform's own palace page turns up walks and cruises that mention the building, not entry to it. The one listing that names the palace in its title, the four-hour Monumental and historic Porto walk, is a French-language tour from Pier 1 on the Ribeira through São Bento, the Sé, the bridge and the quay, ending with the palace tour — and its own listing says the palace entry is paid on site, '+€10'. The palace charges €14 for an adult. We cannot tell you which figure the guide will ask for on the day; we can tell you which one the palace prints, and to carry it. Twelve reviews at 4.6 is a new listing, not a track record.

For an English commentary, the three-hour highlights walk, the small-group walk capped at eight and the two-and-a-half-hour walk from the Lions Fountain all cover the old town and pass the palace's street; none goes in. Book the walk for the morning, buy the palace tour at the desk when it ends, and you have spent less than the French walk plus its on-site entry. The Porto tours hub compares all three walks by length and price against the gate prices of what they pass.

Visits are 09:00 to 18:30 every day on both current pages. No last-entry time is printed; the tour is thirty minutes, so 18:00 is the sensible latest at the desk. The shop keeps seasonal hours that differ between the English and Portuguese pages by half an hour in each season.

The wrinkle is older: a previous Portuguese page showed the visits themselves shutting for lunch from November to March, 09:00–13:00 and 14:00–17:30, and although both current pages say the visits run through, the shop still keeps that split in winter — so a 13:15 winter arrival is the one to check by phone, 223 399 013. No closed days are printed; the Monday closures page lists what else shuts on the museums' day off, and the palace is not on it.

Everything above is avoidable with one early arrival and the Palácio da Bolsa page read once. The tour is short and the desk is efficient; the only scarce thing is a departure in your language at the hour you wanted.

• Arriving at 12:30 in August expecting an English tour on demand. The language follows the arrivals ahead of you; the palace prints no timetable, and the wait is the part nobody budgets.
• Buying online and thinking the hour is reserved. The tourism board's voucher is the same product as the desk ticket; it holds the price, not a departure.
• Paying a reseller for a 'skip-the-line' Bolsa ticket. There is no line to skip and no such product from the palace; you are paying a fee for the desk ticket.
• Budgeting the French walk's '+€10' for the palace entry. The palace prints €14; carry that.
• Buying the tower and the palace separately when both were on the list. The Clérigos combo at €25 includes the Misericórdia museum as well and is sold at the tower, which you climb first.

A ticket paid before the trip: the tourism board's online shop, knowing it holds the price and not the hour.
