What this site is

Visit Porto City Guide is an independent editorial guide to Porto. It is not the official website of the Câmara Municipal do Porto or Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal, of the Diocese do Porto (the Sé), of Museus e Monumentos de Portugal (Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis, the Guimarães castle and Paço dos Duques), of the Fundação de Serralves, the Associação Comercial do Porto (Palácio da Bolsa), Livraria Lello, the Irmandade dos Clérigos, FC Porto, any port-wine house in Vila Nova de Gaia, STCP, Metro do Porto or CP, or of any museum, church or transport operator, and it is not affiliated with any of them. We are not a tour operator, a travel agency or a ticket seller, and we take no payments.

Accuracy and checks

Opening hours, closed days, admission prices and tour details are read from official and operator sources at the check marked beside them and re-read quarterly. They change — sometimes overnight, and often for a strike, a match day, a restoration or a religious holiday. Always confirm on the official site or the operator's booking page before you travel, buy or build a day around a figure you found here.

We give no warranty that the information is complete or current, and we are not liable for a missed entry, a wasted journey or a decision taken on the basis of a page on this site.

Bookings are with someone else

Every booking you make after leaving this site is a contract between you and the operator or the platform, on their terms. Availability, prices, tickets, refunds, cancellations, safety and the experience itself are theirs. We hold no reservations, cannot change or refund one, and cannot make commitments on anyone's behalf.

The text and original images on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Museum, monument, lodge, platform and operator names and logos belong to their owners and are used here for identification only. Do not republish our pages wholesale; quoting a passage with a link back is fine.
